August 3 - Quebec to St. Jean Port Joli - 94 km

Threatening clouds and drizzle in the morning - haven't I played this tune before?
I feel like the groundhog - whenever I can see my shadow I feel I should celebrate.

Anyway, we left Lévi today (opposite Quebec) and headed up the south shore of the St. Lawrence. We had headwinds all day - easterlies blowing up the gulf of the St. Lawrence. Luckily, the terrain is only gently rolling - no big hills.

We passed through a number of small towns, all very pretty. The highlight for me was a visit to the Quebec Maritime Museum in L'Islet Sur Mer.

We ended the day at a resort called the Auberge du Faubourg in St. Jean Port Joli. Great meals there!
The photos are of Leddy relaxing at a little stream and two pictures from the Maritime Museum. The bell is from the Empress of Ireland (largest loss oflife in a Canadian shipwreck) and the Bras d'Or, an experimental hydrofoil.
