August 10 - Beresford to Tracadie - 122 km

(Photos of Grand Anse added August 13)
Today's ride was a longish 122 km; a bit of drizzle for a while in the morning, otherwise easy riding except for headwinds. The sun broke through at a village called Grande Anse, which was also the prettiest spot on the trip today. The coastline has changed and there were portions of the trip with steep headlands (cliffs) beside the water. Until this time the shore was usually gently sloping off the beach.
We intended to visit the Acadian village near Caraquet and arrived at lunch time. We ate there, but decided to take a pass on the village as it would have taken 3 hours or more to tour it, so we couldn't do it justice in an hour. Plus, it cost $15 a head so you want to get a good look at it if you go. It does look worthwhile (on the list for the next trip).
We ended up staying south of Tracadie in a cabin in a campground. Luckily, we had guessed this might be the case so we had provisioned ourselves at the grocery store.
