The morning is all too typical. Cloudy, but threatening. We're still travelling along the St. Lawrence through many small villages. The road is no longer pancake flat - we have a few short but steep hills. The hills in BC are long grunts - these are short lung busters.

We had lunch just west of Quebec city in a suburb called Cap Rouge. And, for about the 3rd day in a row, it started to rain while we were having lunch! Groan!!
After the rain delay we travelled into the City following the Route Verte and the city's bike paths. We took the ferry across to Levis, where we are holed up in a hotel. Tomorrow we'll spend a day in old Quebec.
August 5 - added a photo of the old house we stayed in at Deschambault (the original stone part has 2 foot thick walls and there is a 'new' wooden addition). The other photo is an over the shoulder shot (taken while moving) of Laura climbing one of the lung busters.

Leddy - It has been great fun for me following your journey - well done for an aging rock star accountant. Keep pedalling and keep safe. Regards Peter Speer
Great on-the-move shot!
