We're in PEI now!
Gerry and Ashley are staying on the NB side of the Confederation Bridge, and so got up later for a leisurely day. We'll meet up with them in Charlottetown.
Leddy, Laura and I got a good start and barrelled down highway 11. It was a nice morning for a change! Partly sunny, a bit cool, but not threatening rain. We made great progress to Shediac, where Laura and Leddy posed in front of the world's biggest lobster.
Next, eastward along the coast, where we stopped for a snack lunch at Murray Beach park. The upper right photo is a shot of the headland the park is on. (It is crooked because I took it while moving on my bike) If you look closely you can see PEI in the background.
While we were munching, we noticed that a nasty bunch of clouds that had followed us all morning had caught up. Back on the bikes and we screamed off. The rain shower just caught up to us enough to sprinkle us, but we outran most of it.

Across the Confederation Bridge on the shuttle (bikes not allowed on the bridge) and we are staying just up the road tonight. Beside is a shot of the shuttle and below are a couple of shots of the bridge.
