August 4 - St. Jean Port Joli to Riviere du Loup - 102 km

Another rotten weather day - drizzle that (luckily) didn't turn to rain. but big time head winds all day. A real slog.

We're travelling down the St. Lawrence on highway 132, passing through all these pretty little towns. Unfortunately, the weather didn't do anything for our mood and we just wanted to keep going.

To really mess up the day, we had bike problems. Ashley broke a spoke nut on her back wheel. This took an hour to fix - luckily again I had a spare spoke nut (another item to add to your pile of spares you should take).

No pictures today - it was just too miserable.

We'll try and send some good weather your way! The spoke nut sounds like a tough repair, especially in inclement conditions. It's high 20s with a gentle breeze in Courtenay/Comox. Janet and I went to the Filberg today and were blown away by Spirit of the West. Amazing concert. Terri and I are pedaling home tomorrow. We'll send you guys some spinnergy!

Je me souviens

Glad to see you're still getting some bike repair practice in without me there. ;)
